Monday, January 04, 2010 All beach and no water. I`m packing. Combat gear in this bag, clothing in that one, electronics in a third. My passport and medical docs have been checked three times in three days. It`s official, I`m going to the desert. In fact I`m going to three of them, all told. For reasons of operational security I can`t tell you which deserts, or when I`m going, or what I`m doing there. I can say that it`ll be a while before we get to THE desert, so please don`t start worrying about me prematurely. However from this point forward things are ramping up. My internet access is likely to be sporadic from now on, so if there are big gaps between updates, this is why. Rest assured that updates are coming. As in Dragnet, the story is true. The names (and places, and dates, and various other things) will be changed in order to protect my tender ass.* Still, I should be able to put enough in to make for some interesting reading.
